who is dutch?? dutch is a character from the red dead redemption (rdr) series. he is known for his narcissistic and robin hood complex behaviours, where he takes from the rich and gives to the poor. throughout the game he preaches for a anarchistic society (one without government, where one must fight to survive) and fights to bring back the old west, and is against the push of technology toward the end of 1899.he excuses his brutal killings as for the better good, and when questioned, he reassures everyone that they are on the right side of society. he acts as a mentor towards those in the van der linde gang and has taken arthur and john under his wing and taught them how to read. he often preaches about "loyalty" and "faith", and questions those in camp if theyre still loyal to him (encounter in chapter 2). he consults with hosea, and after hosea's death dutch's mental state deteriorates and he takes micah's side.

WHY dutch hes fucking evil?? i hate to say it but i see a LITTLE bit of myself in him. mostly his fear of change and unfaithfulness, and i HATE when people seem even a little bit disloyal, which is often false and just made up in my head - i am always very paranoid of other people's intentions, and dont always believe their word. i also relate to his shifts of personality, i constantly contrast my previous beliefs and sometimes i, myself can seem unfaithful. i also rely on others to be the angel on my shoulder, if i do not have someone for guidance i often go back to my old, bad habits.
